Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
As long as I’m the chaotic person with all these contradictions I know that I’m still me.
It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.
E. E. Cummings
And it’s damn hard. When do I actually know that I am who I am? Who I’m meant to be?
I only ask to be free. The butterflies are free.
Maybe I was meant to be butterfly and something went terribly wrong. But being a butterfly would also be kind of boring. How many things are there to learn for a butterfly? And how many places will a butterfly be able to see before it dies? It’s free so it could go anywhere and do whatever it wants, but it doesn’t even know that there’s a whole lot to see. I could use this freedom better as a human being. If a butterfly can be free, why can’t I?
We know what we are, but not what we may be.

They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night.
Edgar Allan Poe
That’s why you should always talk to daydreamers when you have the possibility. It’s also very entertaining if not educational.
The gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge.
Clever man, that Albert.
